12 Days Rwanda wildlife and gorilla safari

After morning breakfast, you will transfer to Akagera National park which is the only savannah park in Rwanda where you can view the wildlife. Accommodation will be at  Akagera game lodge or Ruzizi tented camp.

You will be up early, have break fast and later proceed for the morning game drive and then mid morning boat safari on lake Ihema and back to another game drive enroute to the northern part of Akagara national park with stop over for lunch at a picnic site. Accommodation Karenge bush lodge or Magashi safari camp.

You will move out for the early morning game drive before falling back for break fast and later transfer to Volcanoes national park with lunch break enroute. Accommodation at Ingagi Park View lodge.

Today is the long-awaited day for gorilla trekking! Be up early have breakfast and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park offices for paper work before the general briefing by the park rangers   about the Dos, do nots, the general history of the park and the group allocated for tracking that day by the lead ranger guide. You will enter the jungle in search for the gorillas; the trekking time will depend on the movements and steep slopes of the landscape. Once you meet the gorillas you will spend an hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat, feeding, grooming, playing and dis playing dominance.  After  an a hour you will return to the  starting point where you entered the jungle from and later drive to the accommodation .

Golden monkey   trekking takes   place in the volcanoes National Park and at the same time as the gorilla trekking. These are rare monkey’s species listed as endangered and Volcanoes National Park has habituated groups that are available for trekking by visitors. The exercise starts with a short briefing from the park ranger at the offices. There after the , you will proceed  to trek the golden monkeys through the rain forest of the volcanoes national park. Return to the accommodation for rest and lunch. After lunch you will visit Ibiwachu or the gorilla guardian cultural centre. Accommodation at Ingagi Park View lodge .

The Diana Fossy hike is a guided trek in the Volcanoes National Park to the ruins of the Karisoke researck centre and the gravesite of the American primatologist Diana Fossy. The hike takes half day or 6 hours round trip depending on your fitness. Accommodation at Ingagi Park View lodge

After breakfast, you will transfer to Gisenyi  town located on lake kivu, reaching in time for lunch.

To  Day you have a bicycle ride along the Congo Nile Trail, which is the most scenic cycling routes in Africa. Depending on your strengeth you can opt for 1 day or hours Accommodation at Serena lake kivu

After break fast, you will transfer to Nyungwe National Park via Kibuye  for the Napoleon high land, and lunch stop and later proceed to Nyungwe Accommodation at  Nyungwe top view lodge.

Be up early, have breakfast and transfer to the park   offices for paper work and general briefing   by the park rangers. Nyungwe Forest National Park is a true rain forest typically receiving in excess of 2000mm of rain annually. Nyungwe protects the largest single tract of montane forest remaining anywhere in East and central Africa.  The main attraction of Nyungwe Forest is it´s primates especially chimpanzee.  Enjoy guided nature walk in the rain forest in search for the wild gorillas.  When we sight the chimpanzee, you spend an hour with the chimpanzee in their natural habitat.  Return to winka offices for the canopy before retiring to lodge for over night stay. This day you will transfer back to Kigali city and then Kanombe International airport via Butale culturtal centre. You have a lunch break.
