18 - Day Itinerary
DAY - 1
ARRIVAL AT ENTEBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa, take a look at the stunning Lake Victoria before touching down. You will be received by the company representative and transferred to your booked hotel for overnight stay, followed by briefing session and dinner
DAY - 2
ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY AND MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
We kick start our road experience from Entebbe to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, where you will track the white rhinos on foot up close in their natural habitat in presence of an armed ranger guide.Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the home to the only rhino in the wild in Uganda. Through years of efforts the project has been successful and along the rhinos there are many other animals that roam the sanctuary. After spending an hour with the white rhinos, we will have lunch at the restaurant before seeing the longest river in the world, the Nile River as it rumbles down the gigantic rocks of Murchison falls before transferring to the hotel in the heart of Murchison falls national park for overnight stay.
DAY - 3
3 MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Uganda´s largest protected area in Uganda is about 5000 km2 It is bisected by the Nile River the northern banks is roamed by big game and the southern by birds and primates and the centrepiece is the rivers eruption through a narrow gorge at Murchison falls.Sharpen your eyes and get fuelled up with the adrenaline as we head out to for our fistMorning game drive, Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Elephants, Buffalos, Kobs, water bucks, warthogs await your presence in the park.Later in the afternoon enjoy the boat safari along the world longest river in the world encountering the hippos and Nile crocodile basking in the sun, keep an eye around as their birds up the trees and many wildlife taking water along the river and later short game drive before heading back to hotel.
DAY - 4
4 MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you will explore a second time the circuits and focus on the finding lions, and leopards, the delta cruise is also worthy to undertake return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon can be used to relax at the pool or under take the exploration of the Wankwa area as you head to the gate and Buligi truck. Before returning to the lodge.
DAY - 5
KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
We will continue our road experience to Kibale national park the primate capital of Africa with an impressive list of 13 primate species including the largest population of Chimpanzee. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the wilderness as the sun greets the horizon. The views throughout this route are simply the best! Winding roads, clouds kissing the lush green hills and abundance of oxygen. Check in and enjoy the evening in the lap of tea plantations and exotic flora gardens right at your door steps.
DAY - 6
. CHIMPANZEE TRACKING KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Wake up and get ready to meet our closest relative to humans the chimpanzee! We will trek through the thick forest with arranger guide to sight these cute and hooting primates! once we spot a troop of chimpanzee, we will spend about an hour observing them up close in their natural habitat. After we will walk as we get out of the jungle heading to the office for our certificates.Later in the afternoon, we will have crater and community walk as a way of associating with the community around the park.
DAY - 7
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
We hit road and drive to the scenic Queen Elizabeth National Park!Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda´s most popular protected area with diverse ecosystem. On the way we will stop to see one of the most beautiful crater lakes in Uganda and take pictures at the equator monument. We will reach the hotel in time for lunch and later short evening game drive along the channel truck.
DAY - 8
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
We will wake up early head to Kasenyi plains for the morning game drive in such for lions, leopard, elephants, buffalos, Kobs hyenas and water bucks and a stopover at the village craft market and salt mining lake. After lunch we will have boat safari along the Kazinga channel which is famous for wildlife taking water, crocodiles and it is birders paradise.
DAY - 9
ISHASHA SECTOR QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK
Be up at leisure and have breakfast, check out and hit the road to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabth National Park. The sector is famous for resident climbing lions. You will start from the southern circuit in search for elephants and we will drive the over the plains of Ishasha in the open savannah. The southern circuit has usually large herds of buffalo, Uganda Kobs and Topis. Near to the swamps you can spot the leopard. We continue and drive to the northern circuit which is the area known for climbing lions. We look particularly at the many Fig trees where lions like to stay. But we also visit the Uganda Kob mating grounds which is their preferred hunting area. After the initial expedition, we return to the camp for lunch relax and then try out in the afternoon.During the dry season we will drive you to the Edwards flats to see elephants, large herds of buffalo and different water birds. Occasionally we might find in this area the shoebill stork and by surprise some hunting lions.
DAY - 10
ISHASHA SECTOR TO BWINDI FOREST IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
We wake up early to search for the predators and other wild animals before heading out of the park to the hotel for lunch and later head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The park is not so far away, you will arrive in the afternoon. You will have time to enjoy a cool drink, the sights and sounds of the rain forest.
DAY - 11
BWINDI FOREST IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi forest national park is located in the south western part of Uganda and is the best place to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. We will trek and have special encounter with mountain gorillas right in the thick canopy of the rain forest.Gorillas are just like the chimpanzee there are 98 % DNA like humans. We will spend an hour observing their behaviour and different personalities while taking some great photos for your memories. After spending an hour with the gorillas, we will trek down and return to the office for our certificates having trekked the gorillas successfully. We can have a relaxing afternoon.
DAY - 12
BWINDI FOREST IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up early have breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for paper work and you will be assigned an armed ranger who will guide you for nature walk in the park. The walk will take you to scenic places and water fall. You will return around lunch time. After lunch you can relax or go for the Batwa experience. And later return to booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay
DAY - 13
BWINDI FOREST IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK TO LAKE BUNYONYI
After breakfast you leave for lake Bunyonyi passing through the magnificent hills, of Bwindi. Arrive in time for lunch and later enjoy the walk or boat ride along the lake.Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and second deepest in Africa.
DAY - 14
LAKE BUNYONYI.
Calmly have breakfast and relax at lodge enjoying the beautiful scenic views of lake Bunyonyi or take on the optional activities. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY - 15
LAKE BUNYONYI TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Start the day with breakfast and drive to lake Mburo national park which is popularly known as the whispers of the wild, passing via Mbarara town arriving in time for lunch and later an evening game drive and return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY - 16
LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Be up early and head to the park for guided nature walk in the presence of an armed ranger. During the walk you be up close to wild animals like Zebras, Elands, Buffalos, Giraffes, Topis and many more wild animals both big and small. The walk takes between 1 hour to 2hours and returns to hotel for breakfast, Relax at lodge till lunch time.After lunch you will drive to the park for the afternoon boat safari along the lake MburoAnd will be able to sport animals take water and see the Finfoot which is only found in Lake Mburo national park. Return to the lodge and combine the transfer with a game drive dinner and overnight at the booked hotel.
DAY - 17
LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK TO ENTEBBE
wake up Camly and have breakfast and exit the park combined with the game drive, transfer to Entebbe via the Equator for pictures at latitude 0 and lunch break and finally to Entebbe to our booked hotel
DAY - 18
Departure Day.
Depending on the time of your out bound flight, you can do shopping, visit the botanical gardens, go for city tour of Kamapala before transferring to the Entebbe International airport for the out bound flight back home and end of our safari by road.
